Alexus _ End Plastic Pollution

End Plastic Pollution
Our Planet We only have one planet and so we need to take responsibility
for it. This means looking after the earth and everything in it and
making sure we don't damage it in any way.
Everyone can play their part in making sure the earth is safe,
clean and looked after and this also includes caring for the plants,
animals, birds, sea creatures and each other.
Over time, people have been caring less and less about the earth,
and now we are trying to deal with the consequences that have been caused.
One major problem that has occurred is known as plastic pollution which has
unfortunately been caused by careless humans.
Luckily, there are things we can do to help reduce this damage.
What Is Plastic Pollution?
The biggest problem with unwanted plastic is the pollution and damage,
it causes to the environment.
Because plastic is cheap and easy to make, humans buy and use a lot of it.
They then throw this away. But, plastic is strong and durable,
because it was made to last. So when it is thrown away,
it takes hundreds of years to decompose. It breaks into tiny pieces,
which then get blown around by the wind and the rain.
Lots of the plastic ends up in our streams, rivers and the ocean.

The amount of plastic on the planet is increasing more and more rapidly,
meaning it is threatening our planet through poisoning and injuring marine life,
littering beaches and landscapes, clogging landfills and making humans
(and other animals) ill.

Alexus _ Lockdown Story.

When the lockdown started I felt like it was over and no kids were at school for over three or two months, but no one in my family was that sick though . And I didn't get to see any of my relatives, or visit them, because it was on level 4, but call them on facetime. It was really boring, the fact that all of the restaurants were actually closed and didn’t open, especially Macdonald, KFC and the takeaway, except the stores that were in GI they were open, but only the central people were allowed to go in, but we had to go in a line we were allowed to go to the store to get some fruits and stuff, and we had to keep our two meter distance because only two people were allowed to go in and out, and we had to wear a mask and gloves to us safe from others. But the cooking that we were making at home was really good. It's just about the lockdown that made it very boring, because I didn’t like sitting at home, and doing nothing. When it went to level 3. I got really excited, because  level 3 was in May where I had my birthday on when I turned eleven, and did an online hangout with my teacher, and my classmates. My family went out to pak in save or the warehouse, but had to keep our distance. And even the Mac Donald, the KFC and the takeaway were open too, and I got to see all of my relatives. When it was on level 2 the school was suddenly open, and I was happy, because I didn’t get to stay home without anything to do, but I’m glad that I am at school

Alexus _ The real Lord of the Flies.

Once there were six boys,
Sione, Stephen, Kolo, David, Luke and Mano,
all pupils at a strict Catholic boarding school in
Nuku'alofa they got bored in tonga,
so they wanted to sail to fiji . But only two boys went.
The oldest was 16, the youngest 13,
and they had one main thing in common:
they were bored witless.
So they came up with a plan to escape:
to Fiji, some 500 miles away,
or even all the way to New Zealand.
But then came a huge storm,
then the boat was shipwrecked and it moved them to this
Island ATA it was an uninhabited island it looked like no one
had been to this island and thought it was new.
So they had food there and how they did their own house to
sleep in. there they made sticks for the floor and covered
the top with big leaves to cover them from the rain.
They lived there for 15 months, and came back to tonga,
and everyone was glad to see them back.

Alexus _ Botanic Gardens

On thursday room 11, 10, 7 and room 6 were going to the botanic gardens.
We were going to take white board, pen, clipper and a sheet.
When we were done we went on the bus to go to the botanic garden.

When we got there we had to have our lunch. Then we were finished and had to go with our teacher

First we got to the herb garden and looked at plants. We were tasting and smelling
different kinds of flowers and then we noticed that there was a killer plant.
The killer plant was the water and nobody would dare to go inside.

Next we had to walk to the forest and I thought we went hiking.
But we were just walking everywhere in the forest. Then my legs were getting sore
from the long walk so I drank my water and then I got better and started walking.

Then we all got back to school and it was time to go home now.

I enjoyed the Botanic Gardens and to go back there again.
