assembly talks nothing confident captains role models badges happy meeting trouble confronts thrilled fight |
Isaac was sitting in assembly, nervously waiting to hear who the school Captains were going to be. Would he be one? Yes, the girls would be Fai and Jess, and the boys Isaac and Tomasi. Their teacher, Miss Latu pins their Badges on their shirts and Isaac feels a bubble of pride swell inside him.
They met with Miss Latu after Assembly and she told them that they were now Role Models– leaders. People would respect them and they need to respect their badges.
The boys discussed their new roles as they walked home from school. Tomasi didn’t seem to be all that Happy Meeting about being a captain and wondered when he would have time to hang out with his mates. Isaac had heard that Tomasi was part of a gang and got into Fights at weekends. Isaac had been asked to join a gang but he turned it down – he didn’t want to fight or steal stuff.
Next day at school, Fai tells Isaac that she knows Tomasi fights and wonders why Miss Latu chose him for a captain.
That night when Isaac and Tomasi are walking home Tomasi’s phone rings. Isaac heard words like “fight”, “Highfield Park” and “St Benedicts”. Tomasi hurries off explaining to Isaac that he is off to Confront this kid from St Benedict’s. Isaac tells him that he can’t do that because he is a school captain. Tomasi tells Isaac that doesn’t matter; it is after school and has Nothing to do with Miss Latu.
Next morning Tomasi turns up at school with a black eye. Should they tell Miss Latu? Isaac was Thrilled Tomasi who says that he will deny it if Miss Latu finds out. Suddenly, Fai and Miss Latu are coming towards the two boys. For a split second Tomasi looks afraid. Then a smooth Confident look settles back on his face. “Hey, Isaac,” he says quickly, “back me up. You need to say I was at your place after school. Miss Latu will have to believe us. We’re school captains, right?”
Creative writing: Fairytale ending.
One day a girl was walking in the forest and all of a sudden there was a large castle, she wanted to know how to get inside and see because there were heaps of light inside the strange big castle, she didn’t know what’s inside it.
After this, she went to the window where the door and looked inside the castle, but no one was inside the castle, it was all empty, but all the lights were all on, and none of them were off, there were two big towers and one bridge across those two.
The sun was reflecting on the castle, it shined brightly.the girl walked towards the door. The girl got really scared when she opened the door, she thought it was a haunted house, but when she went inside she couldn’t believe her eyes.
In the past days, the girl lived in the village with her parents and she found herself in a strange castle. When she went inside, she saw bright lights across each room. There were stairs up at the top.
Finally when she saw everything in the castle she was very hungry, but then she saw a feast on the table, and thought it was for her, and started eating, there was chicken, salad, chips, fried potato, and also deserts. When she finished all of the food including the deserts, she cleaned up the table, and left the castle to go back to the village.
Coronavirus Let’s stop it!
Introduction Introduce yourself. Tell people what you are going to be talking about.
Hi, my name’s Alexus and today I’m talking about Coronavirus and also known as covid - 19 .
We have to wear masks to protect ourselves.
We have to keep our (2 meters away) distance .
We have to know where the coronavirus has started.
Body
Everyone has to wear a mask, because if the people don’t wear their masks, there will be many cases and more of our people are dying because of coronavirus. And that it’s always important for us New Zealanders to go home to save our lives. The virus has been causing many people’s lives, because they don’t wear their mask when they go outside, in public, in restaurants, and at other families' houses. So we need to stop this virus now before it's too late.
All of us have to keep our distance and not to get too close to each other, not when we’re wearing masks, but because we have to keep our distance at all times when we’re outside. Otherwise it will take us to the hospital, and it’ll take us people long until it’s done and properly well. So all of us have to always keep our distance and be very careful. We have to stay in our bubble, in our home. So we can wait until the prime minister says it’s level 1, and people can go out. And chill out.
It started in China, and it came all around the world and it is causing our people and there’s not enough food. The virus is poisoning our food, but not just food it’s causing our people too we can’t help it, because it’s too hard to tell them to stay home, that’s the only thing that saves lives. You can open windows, doors and sliding doors. But just don’t open it too wide otherwise you won’t notice that it’s not just the wind coming in, its the virus coming in too.
Conclusion
So this is why we have to stop this virus and now, before more trouble will come.

Subject: Happy Matariki
Today we were going around the class by class to see their art work.
First we were walking around the hall to look at the Matariki stars from what every class did.
Then there were kids who were presenting their Artwork about the Matariki stars. When we were finished, all the class went to get our hangi. After our hangi, we had assembly for our Moari song. Then when we were done, all the class went there to pack up and leave.
I really enjoyed it, and I was hoping we could have another one. I really wanted another hangi to celebrate a birthday party with my
Look out your window. Can you tell which season it is? Seasons change our view of the world. Sun, wind, snow, and rain can appear, depending on the season. There are four seasons. They are summer, Autumn (Fall for short) , winter, and spring.
In the summer, the air is warm. The sun beats down. Summer is a great time to play outside. In the summer, you can go for a swim!
In the Autumn, the leaves turn colors. The air gets colder and crisper. Autumn is a great time to play in the leaves. In the Autumn, you can carve a pumpkin!
In the winter, the snow falls. It is very cold. Winter is a great time to drink hot chocolate. In the winter, you can make a snowman!
In the spring, the flowers bloom. Sometimes it rains. Spring is a great time to watch nature. In the spring, you can see so many colors! The seasons may not look the same everywhere. We each have a different view. Still, there are four seasons: summer, Autumn, winter, and spring.

Positive Choices
Choices are a little bit like opposites. Black and white, right and wrong, day and night. If you choose to paint a picture blue, it looks very different than if you choose to paint a picture yellow. If you choose to eat healthy food you will feel very different than if you choose to eat junk food. Every choice that you make has a consequence – something that happens because of that choice. If you choose to work hard, your life will be very different than if you don’t. If you choose to eat breakfast in the mornings you will be able to do much better learning than if you choose not to eat breakfast.
Today’s story is about two owls that make very different choices that had very different results.
Long ago in a forest full of deep green leaves and raggedy, brown tree trunks, two very different owls lived with their mother. One was a wise owl who made good choices, wise decisions and lived a good life. Everyone could see that he was a wise owl. He would listen to others when they were talking and think about what they had to say. He followed rules because he knew that they were there to keep him safe. If you needed advice, the wise owl was the one to go to. He would think through your situation, talk to you about options that you could choose and their consequences and help you make a positive choice. He was a very good owl to know!
The other was a foolish owl. He never listened to anything that anyone had to say. He didn’t worry about following rules and would often put himself and others in danger. He was so foolish that no one ever asked him for advice. Nor did he ask other people for guidance – he was far too foolish for that! All the other owls wondered how he managed to make it through the day, he was so foolish. The foolish owl made foolish choices with disastrous consequences, and did foolish things.

Tittle: How do we hear?
When you hear a sound it goes through your pinna (your outer ear, it funnels), and it vibrates in your auditory canal which is ear wax and the ear wax protects the bugs away and it’s waterproof. And it goes in your tympanum.
It goes inside your ossicles which stands for hammer, anvil and stirrup. And the

Text:Don't demolish old buildings, urge architects
They say New Zealand property owners should be incentivised to upgrade draughty buildings, not just break from those who don't like them around New Zealand.
That is because so much carbon is emitted by creating the steel, cement and bricks for new buildings. It was really a waste of time building when everybody keeps on breaking them down, may it’s because they're jealous.

Title: What I did for lockdown.
On lockdown I got up from bed, did my things and got told to do my homework on my chromebook. I found it very irritating why we were on lockdown, it was very boring at home just for three days, I felt like it was so boring, I knew the school wouldn’t be open, I kept on seeing the people wearing the face mask that made me found irritating and I hated wearing the mask because the made me feel sick I really go back to school, I didn’t want to be on lockdown otherwise they would be no school and we have at level 3. But I was then happy the news on tv said it would be level one at night, that made face light up it was the last of lockdown.
I was so excited when I went back to school.
